I bought this in the plus size 1X because I'm tired of having to wear men's clothes to get something big enough. I was afraid it wouldn't fit, but it fits perfectly. What I especially like is the sleeves aren't too tight, and it's not too stiff. Sometimes the windproof materials are stiff, but this isn't. I got the Acropora color and it's a nice perriwinkle blue.
I would recommend this product.

This is not the first Columbia softshell jacket I have bought. I've bought 3 because I know the quality is fabulous. I do wish Columbia would consider making the arms a bit shorter....I know I have seen that issue raised before in other reviews. On this particular jacket the seam that runs down the arm is a bit irritating. It's not that the sleeve is too tight...it's plenty roomy. It's just that if I wear the jacket with a sleeveless top underneath I have an awareness of that seam and that is something I have not experienced with prior jackets I purchased. I'm not certain if it is the thread used in the stitching or the way the seam is finished. It's just an issue Columbia might want to look into and a buyer should be aware of.

I've been looking for ages for a light weight jacket that shields me from the sea breezes and this one is it. It repels the sea spray yet gives enough to walk and pick up shells comfortably. I know this will be a staple in my car for my impromptu ocean side walks in the sand.

I really love this jacket. The weight is perfect, it is cool enough while indoors and warm enough outdoors. The color, material and style were exactly what I was looking for. The only complaint I would have is that the sleeves are ridiculously long. I am plus size and a little petite (5'3"). The length of the body of the jacket is perfect, but the sleeves are a good 2.5" too long. I would have to be 5'10" at least to have arms long enough to fit this jacket and then the body length would be far too short.
Because I love the jacket, I will have the sleeves altered.

I absolutley love this item. I do not normally order items on line because of fitting issues, but the fit is perfect. It is light weight, not bulky at all but keeps you very warm on a cold day. Great colors to choose from.
