Bought this for my daughter, who practically lives outdoors. The hood is ample enough to accommodate her riding helmet, and the zippered vents keep her cool, while at the same time the jacket is 100% waterproof. It's beautiful and she loves it.
As for the 3 star review complaining it doesn't keep you warm, the description specifically says it's lightweight. That's a feature, not a fault. It weighs almost nothing so you don't get overly sweaty even on warmer days in a downpour. Also, the visor part of the hood stays rigid to keep the rain out of your face.
Excellent jacket!
I would recommend this product.

I spent a long time deciding between this rain shell and other comparable ones from other outdoor gear companies, as well as the Tech Attack shell. I was looking for a jacket to use both as an everyday rain jacket and as a shell for high-altitude mountaineering activity. It had to be breathable for backpacking, but durable enough to repel water and snow in unexpected blizzard conditions. This jacket is VERY lightweight, which is awesome, and still really strong. The hip pockets are not accessible with a pack on, but the chest pocket is and none of the zippers chafed even when my pack's hip belt pressed on them. Super waterproof and you don't get too clammy as long as you are wearing wicking layers underneath. The helmet compatible hood does fit over my climbing helmet, but for some reason falls off when my hair is in a poofy ponytail, so I have to braid it. The two-way zipper works great over a harness, but is stiff at first and you have to work with it until it's broken in. You maintain full visibility even with the hood up. So far I have used this jacket sitting outside in a downpour at a campsite, as my outer layer backpacking and hiking through a rain and snow storm, and trail running through sleet. It has worked perfectly every time. I am 5'2", 105lbs, and usually wear an XS. I ordered a Small so that I can layer underneath it and it fits just right even with a baselayer, midlayer, and down jacket underneath.
I would recommend this product.

Runs a little snug around the waist and has a large hood and arm space. Not very warm on chilly rainy days.
I wished it was a little longer.
The colors are bright and cheery.
I would recommend this product.
