My son is a young teen but does not fit into adult clothing right now, but likes the look of it. We couldn't find a coat anywhere that he liked in any stores. I almost passed this coat up online because of the color but when I saw that it came in black, he voted for it. He loves the coat and it's durability is fabulous as I have found the coat laying everywhere but the coat hook. We have had a mild winter so far, and he has been warm however if he needs an extra layer for extreme cold the coat is roomy enough to support that.

This cannot be used at all like a coat. It is very thin, might as well use a regular sweater.

I purchased this jacket for my son, who wanted a softshell coat like his Dad. It is a wonderful coat, and plenty warm for as cold as North Texas gets. Looks sharp, and washes very well. Highly recommend, will be getting another Columbia Softshell coat when he outgrows this one.

I bought this coat for my 9 year old son who hates wearing the puffy winter coats. I was very skeptical when i got it in the mail...it was so lightweight. We live in Indiana and the winters get pretty cold here. He's already been out in the snow and the coat kept him warm and dry. The shiny inside is an extra bonus, my son thought it was pretty cool. I liked this coat so much I am going to buy another for my 11 yr. old son.
