This bag was reasonably warm, but I would recommend wearing some thick socks in the really cold weather. The only major problems I had with it was that the zipper can be very hard to operate at times and it is difficult to stuff back into its travel bag.

This sleeping bag is very warm. I haven't tested it out to extremely cold temperatures, so I'm not sure how it would do. I think the coldest it's been while I slept in this was probably around 40 deg F. The sleeping bag has a couple of drawstrings, one inside near where your head would be (which can be a minor annoyance) and one on the outside. The bag packs pretty easily, but I do have some difficulties sometimes getting it to pack all the way in to the bag without having any part of the sleeping bag stick out too much.
I would recommend this product.

I have an older sleeping bag bought in circa 1992, a Coleman mummy bag. It was warm and held up very well. It had a couple holes in it, they were getting bigger and exposed the fill material. It wasn't as warm as I remember. I focused on the Omni-heat feature with Columbia. I went with the coldest bag (Reactor 15) because I get cold easy so I figured with the side by side comparison the Reactor 15 was best for me. Wow, is it warm! I have not tried it out in a cold climate but I did try it out at home when it arrived and it gets real toasty. I frequently have it in my SUV. I work at a fire department and often we have to move to another firehouse due to various reasons. Taking a sleeping bag is a lot simpler than to lug all your other bedding from your home station. So the compact size and warmth is idea for me. I could have gotten away with the Reactor 35--the one I was originally planning to get--but some guys really like to sleep in a cold environment (crank up the AC or they turn down the furnace). Plus I wanted a sleeping bag that can take colder temperatures for a hunting trip or should you get stranded overnight in your vehicle in a blizzard condition. Bottom line, the whole series of the Reactor sleeping bags are the bomb! Just figure out how cold you need your bag to accommodate and that's the one you buy.
I would recommend this product.

This bag is nice. I slept in it at my house on top of my covers the first night I got it and didn't sweat. Perfect bag for cold weather although the coldest I have been in with it so far has just been in the 30's and it worked great! I would recommend not wearing outerwear while in the bag though, it works best just in shorts or underwear.
I would recommend this product.

It didn't get down quite to 15 degrees, but it was close to freezing temperatures. It kept me warm and comfortable all night. Enough room at the feet also, so I didn't feel constricted. The only problem I had was the zipper would get caught. Well worth the money for a backpacking sleeping bag. Very light weight and packs in stuff sack very easily.
I would recommend this product.
