This bag looked pretty cool at first and the design seems structurally sound, but the material is weak and too flimsy. The inside is outlined in that plastic tarp (not tarpaulin) material you get from Walmart or Target auto department. Plus, the size is supposed to be 105 liters and it doesn't seem to be. Another duffel bag that I have is 60 liters, which almost dwarfs this bag. Oh and the strap is inconveniently placed diagonally, which makes it quite uncomfortable to carry. I travel a lot, this bag wouldn't last as long as other brands. This bag wouldn't haul the load that I carry. Though I may not like this bag, it doesn't mean that I wont stop buying from Columbia.
It seems a lot of outdoor companies make their version of this sort of duffel (even though they usually come with a larger price tag). I have a few of them myself. It can be difficult to treat it the way that Columbia invites you to treat theirs when you just finished paying a hefty price for it. When I saw Columbia's duffel line-up and the price to match, I purchased one of every size (two of the 67s). These duffels rock and they won't break the bank! They even have the D-rings close to the bottom that are perfect for strapping to the top of your ride!
