Your Omni Heat is fantastic! I ordered two of the interchange jackets in the extended sizes and they were beautiful but just too bulky for me. I exchanged them for the insulated jacket and it is perfect. So light but just as warm as the interchange jackets. I cannot say enough about these Omni Heat liners. Keep up the great work. Just give us more to choose from in the insulated jackets and in extended sizes. They are my all time favorites and I am glad to tell everyone that will listen. Great move going to more extended sizes.
I would recommend this product.

I really like this product. I got it for my wife who has cancer and has a hard time lugging around a heavy coat and staying warm. The omniheat reflective lining works great. The coat is very attractive. It was very expensive though. If you are in a very cold climate, but don't want a heavy jacket, this will definitely fit your needs!
I would recommend this product.

I love this coat. I purchased it to walk in the colder weather. It blocks the wind and keeps me warm but not hot. Perfect for me!
I would recommend this product.

I love that this coat is so lightweight. I don't feel bunched up in it. Very easy to drive in. Looks good on.

I got my jacket in the mail and normally I hate ordering from online because I can never get anything to fit right. This jacket fit perfectly!!! It's so warm and exactly what I would have expected from Columbia! Wooo!!
I would recommend this product.

For fleece jackets I normally purchase an XL. I went to an outlet store to try on a similar version of this jacket and the XL fit, but the 1X definitely fit better. However, I'm not sure if this would be true for everyone.
I have no complaints about this jacket, I love the fitted thumb holes, it really keeps heat inside. I was debating between this jacket and the Whirlibird Interchange Jacket, but when I tried a Whirlibird on in store, it was very bulky and better suited for someone who enjoys skiing and snowboarding. I prefer something less bulky and the accent lines help create a feminine figure. It's definitely more attractive than the Whirlibird.
I would recommend this product.

YAY! High tech gear for plus size women.
onJanuary 6, 2014
Plus size women LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE... to have ALL of the higher tech gear to wear just like the bigger men do as well as the people in other size ranges. Veloca Point looks to be a good option for winter sports.
I have gotten out in the sub-zero temps in the past few days and have enjoyed the lightweight warmth of the Veloca Point.
I have yet to get out to do the activities I really hope to use it mainly for downhill skiing. I will be also using it for x-c skiing, sledding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, hiking, horseback riding and shoveling [ok... not so much the snow scooping, shoveling--too warm].
I hope Columbia and other mfg.s continue to provide us plus size women [3xl +] products and choices that we desire and want to purchase and use that we see in the men's section and regular size options.
I would like to have the option of the MilleniumBlurr, it is only offered in sizes up to XL for $330, or the GridLine for $250, PolarPass for $220 also look like an options I may like to try. The Millenium Blur and it's features most interest me and I REALLY hope to see that offering in women's plus size in 2014.
I am and have always been and probably will always be a very plus size active woman who enjoys a very robust and active indoor/outdoor lifestyle.
I have always been frustrated with the mfg.s not responding to the woman of plus size in their offerings of sports gear. I want the high tech gear that is an option in other size ranges. I don't want to pay crazy prices but I am willing to purchase quality gear that best meets my needs.
If there were more options for us there would probably be more of us out there buying the products. I have had countless discussions with other frustrated "potential" customers who are also plus size women who are very active year around and want the gear that fits them. Quite a few of these women have gotten good at tailoring some of the bigger mens products to fit them or paying an alteration service to do it for them. That just is a sad state of mfg.s not meeting their customers needs.
A few years ago I was so excited to see Columbia offering women's plus size ski pants in a 3xl. I ordered them and got them just in time for a trip to Breckenridge. They were my first pair. They fit well and have all of the features I desire.
Some non-high tech options I always look for in winter gear: underarm venting/zippers, parka length, drawcord waistline, sleeve diameter big enough for arms, shoulder/chest/bust roomy enough, built in hood, I've been surprised how handy it is at times to have one [I have an older Columbia ski jacket that has a built in hood in the collar]. On cold weather jackets I also like a longer hem in the back to provide a bit more coverage.
I like to have plain black as an option or dark blue.
I do not like horizontal contrasting "anything" on the front or back of a garment.
I would prefer that the Veloca Point not have the angled horizontal contrasting strips across the chest and back.
I look forward to putting this new Veloca Point plus size women's jacket through it's paces. Being of Scandinavian descent I am thinking I may be a bit too warm with everything zipped up. So, once again I love that it has underarm venting.
THANKS COLUMBIA! Keep providing us plus size women options. Yes I am a woman that wears a 3xl and there are probably women that are 4xl, 5xl, etc. that have unmet active sports gear needs.
How do you get input on our needs? Not very many stores offer the plus size women's ski jackets, ski pants, etc. We are out here and wanting to have the gear provided to fit our activities and desires.
