The XL I purchased for my wife isn't even CLOSE to that size. Competing products from Nautica, London Fog, Calvin Klein, and even DKNY (which tends to run small) all fit her fine. Too bad, since she liked the pattern and look of this coat. Heading to the post office to return this coat.
I do not recommend this product.

Jacket is perfect for rainy, but mild temp. weather. Brimmed hood is an added convenience (helps to eliminate necessity of carrying an umbrella). Coat's length will not keep one's legs dry in heavy rain, but I did not purchase it for that purpose. The fun colours and flattering trench coat style have garnered many compliments.

I love this coat. I had the same coat in a different pattern that I completely wore out. The coats only drawback is that it does fit just a little small, so if you are a pretty true size medium you might want to get a large, so it's a bit more comfotable to wear sweaters under the coat, although I have managed with the medium ok. This coat is also the perfect rain coat for the spring when it's a bit warmer. It's light enough and totally waterproof. I have gotten tons of compliments on this coat!! Just a note to Columbia. PLEASE DON'T DISCONTINUE THIS COAT!!! I may wear this one out, too!! just sayin.......

When this arrived I was a little skeptical that it would really work for me. I got it because I live in Oregon and ride my bike everywhere. With the rainy season I wanted to make sure to stay dry. Today I wore this for the first time, and I happened to crash on bike. I was so sure it was trashed because my elbow drug across the ground. My first concern was my jacket. It didn't even get a scuff (and I'm bleeding!)! Very durable and it kept me dry! I LOVE it!

Good for rain, but not for cold

This coat is very cute and works well as a raincoat, but is not lined at all and not very warm. It is made of the same material as a traditional yellow rain coat, so it rustles when you wear it. Very cute and fits well, just not warm at all!

This is a great rain coat but has no lining so it wasn't intended for warmth, just dryness. If you're just trying to stay dry it's perfect...and it's fashionable.
