I purchased these mittens for my daughter. I was looking for something warm, insulated, and water proof. I love the Omni-Heat. I was able to try them on my own hands. They have to be the warmest mittens I have ever worn. I do think they may run a little large, because I ordered the small, and they fit my adult hand perfectly.
I would recommend this product.

NOT Waterproof! Mittens wet inside every time they play in snow!

I had very high expectations and hopes for these mittens. I've been buying Columbia products for years and was excited to find what I thought would be a waterproof and dry mitten for my kids. What I'm left with is 2 over priced pair of mittens which are wet inside every time. These perform in much the same way as my other son's Thinsulate cheap mittens.
We've followed the directions by never washing or submerging mittens in water (only snow) and always air drying. The mittens are wet inside when we return from snow play. I always secure the wrist part of mitten under my children's jacket and velcro it tightly so snow isn't getting inside. It almost seems as if the moisture inside the mitten is soaking up from the outer shell. Either way the mittens aren't usable again until they are thoroughly dried inside which makes them useless for at school and other play. A 5 yr old isn't going to know how to turn the mitten inside out to dry before lunch recess at school. I'm VERY disappointed in the function of these mittens. If you are just looking for a very warm mitten these will do the trick...just don't let your child play in the snow or they will have cold wet hands later.
I personally wouldn't recommend these as you can buy a $10 pair that does the same function and quality as these.
I do not recommend this product.
