My son had a similar hat last year and it fit looser. It got pretty worn from every day wear so we bought this one. This one was tight from the start and then on an outing with my husband, the top of it caught on something and the entire hat top shredded. Not sure if it was a quality issue or if it was a serious mishap to the hat. I would probably buy another though because it was warm and it is very beautiful.

I got this hat to go with my daughter's new fleece jacket, but she wears it with anything and it's perfectly adorable and warm. She wore it ice skating with the fleece and was the best-dressed kid in the rink.
I would recommend this product.
