the underside of brim is dark - very good to reduce glare. Brim is excellent depth. It shades my face & back of neck.
The hat is very lightweight, but there is no sizing rope around the crown. I bought a small, yet it the hat blows off. Would love, love the hat if there was a sizing toggle. Since the hat won't stay on my head, it's not functional

I was diagnosed with skin cancer on my face last fall, and I've been looking high and low for a great sun hat. I finally found it. I was delighted when I opened my package and tried it on. It fits. It's very comfortable. It's light. It's breathable. It's broad enough to keep the sun off my face and neck. The brim is the perfect bit flexible yet stiff, so I can adjust the coverage and the look as I want to.
I should have ordered two.
Activities: Trail, Hiking/Trekking, Camping, Boating, Other, Vacation, Fishing - Freshwater
Conditions: City, Sweaty, Sunny, Humid, Cement/Asphalt, Bug Infested, Hot

this hat is great for days on the beach, hiking, gardening, etc. It protects you head & face to keep the sun out! I would usually wear a medium & purchased a large & it fits great.

So glad I bought this hat for walking the dog or running errands in the summer. It's comfortable, lightweight, and does a great job of protecting my head and face from the sun!
