I have very hot feet so I don't often wear "athletic shoes." These shoes are much cooler for my feet than other athletic shoes. I've had one pair for a couple of years and just bought 2 more pair. That alone should be enough of a product endorsement.

I got these shoes hoping for some tennis shoes for walking aound while I was touring Europe. I got them and the color of the burnt henna really is more of a red. I don't like red shoes and I was expecting more comfort in them for being Columbia. They are good shoes though. Just very average for tennis shoes.

LOVE this shoe. Unexpected quality from an outlet purchase. Bought 6 pairs of your shoes this month and they have all been great with only one exception due to size.

The product was of the quailty expected. They did run a little larger than other vendor sizing. I was looking for a stiffer back. They weren't as stiff as I would have liked. However they were comfortable right from the start,which I have a hard time finding. I would purchase from this vendor again.

Comfortable, lightweight, true-to-size. The only thing I would change is the insole (and I probably will upgrade this myself) as it is very flat. However, I have still found these to be pretty comfortable with the insoles they came with. Overall, a really nice shoe!

I have never worn a lighter, more comfortable pair of shoes. From the very first time I put them on they felt worn in. No break-in period was even needed. They even have good arch support. I feel like I could walk or hike in them all day long. I am SO happy I bought them!

I love these shoes. They're super cushy and supportive, and are comfortable for all-day wear. For me, it took about two weeks to really break them in, but it was well worth it. Great for working out or getting around town.

I ran 7 miles on the trails with these shoes the first time I wore them. And I loved them. Very comfortable, fit snug around the ankle to prevent debris from getting in. The traction provided stability on my downhills, causing me to really pick up some speed. Highly recommend!

I LOVE this shoe !
I have worn it now for 3 ultras - 1 on gnarly wet rocky trail, 1 through grassy fields, and 1 on a combo of steep rocky jeep roads and packed dirt cow trails. In all conditions, the soles gripped well and the shoes were snug enough but flexible enough to give me all the mobility I needed without causing any blisters. They felt great through all 3 races, even after 19 hours on my feet ! They'r emy new favorite shoe !

I've been testing out the Columbia Ravenous for the past couple weeks. I think they are a really great trail shoe for the beginner / intermediate trail runner. For someone not so used to rocks and roots, these shoes offer amazing cushion and support. If I were to compare them to what's already out in the market, I would say they feel like a cross between the Nike Pegasus and the Brooks Cascadia. They have the roomy toe-box of the Pegasus and the cushion of the Cascadia! I like the tread--not too aggressive for the trails most beginners would be running on and you can run on cement too.
The Ravenous wouldn't be my personal shoe of choice for training / racing because I prefer the minimalist approach to trail running, but honestly this is a great shoe for someone looking to get into the sport of trail running. Great job, Columbia, on your first trail runner!

It's late in the day and I just received my pair of the Ravenous in the mail. So while I can't say I've taken them out for a spin yet, I can say that my initial impression of the fit is great. I'm very picky when it comes to the fit of my running shoes and this might be the most comfortable "upper part" of a shoe I have ever worn. I'm not completely sure about the sole, the arch seems a bit flat, but until I break them out on the trail I will reserve judgment. Initial impression is positive and I can't wait to eat up the trail (pun intended).

Have been using for two weeks and about 40 miles hiking on all types of terrain. So far, it has been flawless. The laces should be of the round type or thicker and the insole a little bit softer Overall I am very satisfied.
