Wanted a pair of convertible pants to take on a safari. I have tried other pants but they never fit right. I am tall and these had the length in the leg I was looking for. low profile(not a bunch of bulky pockets or flaps) and just enough pockets for essentials. Light weight too. Love them.
I would recommend this product.

These convertible pants function perfectly, fit just right and look good. I was hoping for a little more heft to the material though. I already have some very thin, all synthetic convertible pants, and they are too thin for my taste. That's why I thought this mix of cotton and synthetic would be good. It is better, but not quite what I'm looking for. Looks like I'll have to go to all cotton, if I can find some.
I would recommend this product.

These are such great pants, I can't say much else. They are perfect for my 175# 5'-10" frame. I wear a 34" normally, and these will offer a good range before and after my size because of the elastic like waist band.
I would recommend this product.

100% nylon fabric can’t give any comfort in the tropical climate or for hot summer days. Columbia Crested Butte Convertible Pants with 62% of cotton lightweight fabric are having optimal blend combination for both comfort and sport wear performance: durability, UPF 15 Omni-Shade® sun protection and quick-drying properties. You can have any active sport activity during the day in zip on or zip off mode (depends of weather) as well as the fashion style of this pants in the zip on mode will give possibility to wear it for any evening events: going out or any king of official/unofficial meeting/presentation. Columbia always making very good designed pockets, especially for traditional shorts and Crested Butte Convertible Pants with several mesh pockets, including cargo pockets, are keeping this tradition. Just as for me, I would prefer traditional pockets like any other Columbia shorts; I’m not a big fun of mesh pockets.
Columbia Crested Butte Convertible Pants can be the best choice for a summer vacation as well as for active style living in the tropical climate.
I would recommend this product.

They are very nice pants. They fit well.
But I what I was looking for was the same type of pants in 100% cotton. I bought a pair of Columbia 100% cotton pants from REI a few years ago but apparently they no longer available.
I would recommend this product.

Purchased these pants after quickly searching for convertible pants with a cotton blend (not a fan of 100% man-made materials for comfortability sake). I traveled with them for a week and wore them twice during; they fit and looked as expected. They were comfortable on a 5 hour flight and moving about town. Cargo pockets were well designed, holding my wallet and cell phone in separate pants legs with little-to-no sag in material. When it was time to convert to short by unzipping lower legs, no hassle to remove/reattach. Small amount of elastic material was suitable for keeping pants up without a belt. Wash/Dry no issues. Can't thoroughly rate durability; I've only worn for 3 days. The look and function of these pants made them extremely versatile; meaning less items to pack when traveling.
I would recommend this product.
